Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza (born June 26 in 1984) is a performer, comedian who is famous for her ability to express her humor in a funny way. She plays April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation. After performing sketch and improv comedy in The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza launched her own web series through the Jeannie Tate Show. The show continued to grow with her appearances on Funny People by Judd Apatow and Scott Pilgrim, vs. World. Today is her birthday. Aubrey Christina Plaza was born in Wilmington Delaware the daughter of lawyer Bernadette Plaza as well as finance Specialist David Plaza. She is the daughter of Irish, English and Irish as is her father, who is Puerto Rican. Plaza graduated from an Catholic all-girls school in 2002 and from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2006. As a senior in high school, she was a participant at Wilmington Drama League shows and held the position of president for the student council. Plaza was struck by a stroke in 2004 while studying at a the college. She developed expressive aphasia, and experienced an ephemeral period of the paralysis. She is now fully recovered. Plaza started doing sketches and improv at New York City's Upright Citizens Brigade Theater back in 2004. Also in New York City, she's been performing stand-up comedy on stage at The Improv and The Laugh Factory. Plaza played in E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street as Robin Gibney, The Jeannie Tate Show featuring Ben Schwartz and also the first Terrible Decisions episode. She was the Princess a satirical sci fi character from CollegeHumor Troopers. Plaza first made her debut on saxophone in Cassorla's Bona Fide in 2014. Her first appearance was as a guest in the Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings 'in 2012. HarmonQuest, in 2016, included Plaza as Hawaiian Coffee. She played Aaron Burr, in Drunk History. And Cat Adams on Season 11, of C.B.S. Criminal Minds, a TV series. Plaza made an impressive appearance as the character in the 12th season of Criminal Minds. The following year, it was revealed that Plaza would appear in the indie comedy An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn.
