Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. It is believed that she was the one responsible for initiating the modern study of the memory of witnesses and the role of children in witnessing. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants, and has been the winner of many honors both national and internationally. She has advised numerous authorities and government agencies around the globe on policies and research relating to the treatment of children victims in the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is part of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member and International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the president of American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice.
